So off to Halkirk we go - but not without incident! No power in the Moho this am and it's has been storming for days and the bedroom around the slide out was wet this morning! Boy what a start to the day.
So off we go to an RV place to see about all this and find our electrical problem was minor - phew that was a close one. Off we went once again, oh darn we forgot to get sealant for the roof - so now we are looking for another RV place - all this in city limits and towing the Geo. Good thing Dan is a good driver. We find another place just outside St. Albert and pick up the sealant. Ok back on the road again. Now we are going to stop in Ponoka to see my Uncle Vernon but I am coughing like crazy and I don't think they will let me into the hospital and I also don't want him to catch my illness. So we won't do that.
Dan wants and needs new boots - his old Ariats are about 20 years old and worn out - so off to the Jones Boys Western Wear store we go - this is also in Ponoka. Many $$$$$ later we are loaded up and headed down the road once again. It's been a long day already and it's only just after 1 pm!
The weather has cleared up a bit and we are hitting some sunny blue skies.
Blue skies, rolling hills and the landscape in front spreads out for miles, beautiful area around Lacombe, Tees and Stettler.
Omg - what is in front of us? Are we in California or Maui? No we are in Halkirk and surrounded by wind turbines - these were not here last time we visited. We arrived at brother Jack's at about 3:30 pm - had a cool one, swapped stories, ate a wonderful supper and then retired for the night - I'm pooped!
