Woke up to a storm in the night - Dan is worried about leaks but he thinks he can get the sealant on if it quits and the sun comes out later this morning - seems like there is always something to do!
I am feeling a bit better today, the drugs are working.
We were treated to an awesome breakfast and then Dan managed to the sealing done with no threat of storms on the horizon. It warmed up quite nicely today.
Jack and Donna are taking us to the 6th Annual Ranch Rodeo in Donalda. It is only about a half hour drive so when Dan was done we loaded up and away we went. Nice drive and we made it - the event was inside the Donalda Hockey Arena so that was fortunate as it started to rain as we arrived. It was a good turnout and lots of different events for the entire family to participate in.
There was:
5 years and under Baby Goat Untying (that was a hoot)
Pairs sorting
Sheep Scramble for kids 6-9
Team Branding
Trailer Loading
Pie Auction and others.
It was a good day.
We returned to the Hall's for another awesome dinner and watched the hockey game.
A great day - thanks guys.
Hey you guys! I just read up on your trek and it sounds like you are doing well other than a few gliches here and there. Sorry to hear you are sick Jacque but at least you have your bed on wheels in case you need to nap. By the way I meant to mention to you, when you are done your trip, you can actually turn your blog into a book if you want. I can show you how when you get home if you are interested. Oooooo unless you are doing a scrapbook! Anyway, HAVE FUN!! Hugs!
